For UK higher education

An AI chatbot for universities that only answers from your own pages.

Deflect the repetitive enquiries. Route the ones that matter to a person.

Kendri reads the public pages your teams already maintain — admissions, accommodation, fees and funding, term dates, IT and library services — and answers students, applicants and parents from that content. If your pages don't answer a question, it says so and passes the question to your team rather than inventing something.

The enquiries that fill your inbox every year

The same questions arrive every cycle, in volume, and mostly out of hours. They are already answered somewhere on your website.

Applicants and offer-holders

Entry requirements, deadlines, what happens after an offer, open day logistics — answered from the pages your admissions team already publishes.

Accommodation and fees

Application windows, deposits, payment dates and funding pages are exactly the kind of content that is written once and asked about a thousand times.

Term dates and campus services

Opening hours, semester dates, library and IT support routes. Kendri re-crawls your site automatically, so the answers follow your page edits.

Out of hours, every day

Most enquiry traffic arrives when nobody is at a desk. Kendri answers at 2am from the same pages it would answer from at 2pm.

Questions your site doesn't cover

Every unanswered question is recorded in the admin dashboard with the wording the visitor actually used — a standing list of the gaps in your own content.

Internal documents, when a page won't do

Master admins can upload a PDF, DOCX or TXT. The text is indexed and the file itself is never stored on our servers.

Grounded answers, or no answer at all

The behaviour that matters in a university context is what happens when the content isn't there.

1

It reads your site

Add a domain, prove you own it, and Kendri crawls and indexes your public pages. You can also approve specific external domains — a parent institution's IT pages, for instance — as a secondary source.

2

It answers from what it found

Retrieval finds the passages that actually relate to the question, and the answer is written from those passages only. Answers drawn from an approved external domain say plainly where they came from.

3

Otherwise it hands over

No confident answer means no answer. The visitor is told, can leave an email address, and the question lands in your dashboard for a human to pick up.

Welfare messages go to people, not to a model

A student in difficulty sometimes types it into the first box they find.

Checked before anything else

Every message is assessed for urgent personal welfare or safety content before retrieval runs, and that check is never skipped for billing, quota or trial reasons.

Never answered from a web page

A message that reads as an urgent concern is not answered from your content. It is routed straight to the staff you designate, with the wording the student used.

Stated honestly to students

The widget tells visitors that an urgent message may be shared with designated staff, and that Kendri is not an emergency service.

This is automated and best-efforts only: it may miss a genuine concern or flag an ordinary message, and it is not a substitute for your own safeguarding or emergency procedures.

What it costs

Starter is £49 a month with 500 questions and one connected website. Growth is £149 a month with 2,000 questions and up to five websites. Scale is priced on your volume and requirements — talk to us. Prices exclude any tax that may apply.

The trial runs for seven days, needs no credit card, and covers one website with the widget on a page you choose.
